The 12th House

Started as a part-timer, Stanley Ho progressed professionally in 1990, specializing in Mixed Media painting of seaside scenery. Currently operating in the famous antique road of No 46, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Double story shop house under the name ‘STANLEY ART GALLERY’.

He had held exhibition locally at Mahkota Shopping Centre and local hotels over the last few years. Currently, keeping a personal collection of over 500 drawings during the recent years of his career as an artist.

Artist Reflections

Attracted by the peaceful nature of the setting sun in the horizon, tranquility of the gentle waves and the beautiful music of the sea and sounds of nature inspire one to capture these scenes from the Straits of Malacca and translate them into these paintings. The love of these scenes prompts the artist to admire with awe and receive no uncertain inspirations as vividly expressed in the paintings.

The ever changing peaceful and strolling waves at the amber glow of the setting sun is at times, contrasted to the sudden untimely transformations into an unending energy of turbulent waves reflects the period of artist’s life experiences common in many stories as it is reflected in the artist’s mind through these paintings.

Carl – I was born and raised in the town of barnsley, in the county of yorshire U.K. ive lived here for all of my 38 years

Carl – my world is art, tattoos, film, and most important of all family

3. What is life for you?

4. If you are not an artist, what would you like to be?
Carl – im not a pro artist, i would love to be able to make a living from it, its what i love to do the most, i also love tattoo art and a tattoo artist is something i would have loved to have been also!!

Tarnee: My world is complex, dark with shots of vibrant colours and driven by impulse

3. What is life for you?
Tarnee: Chaotic but with some sunshine, moving forward but only much as it returns back to what is was in the pursuit of finding purpose or meaning.

Tarnee: Ive always wanted to be a part of the arts in someway and im always interested in trying new ways or forms of creating it.
